Big Boy!

We had corn on the cob with our dinner on Tuesday. Gavin loved eating our corn so we decided to give him a small ear of his own to eat. We weren't quite sure if he'd grasp the idea of holding the little handles and spinning the corn while you eat.. but he shocked us! He took right to it like he'd been eating corn on the cob forever! He ate the entire piece then would not let me throw it away. He seriously cried for about 10 minutes after I threw the empty ear of corn in the trash. Check out these cute shots of Gavin chowing down ;-)

Yesterday Gavin and I had dinner with my friend Lauren and her daughter Alivia. They sat us at a small booth and there was really only room for one high chair. Since Alivia is only 13 months old we let her have the high chair and Gavin got a booster seat!! It was his first meal at a restaurant in a booster seat and he did really well. He seemed to enjoy sitting at the table next to Mommy and playing. What a cutie!!! He also enjoyed some chocolate ice cream for dessert!!

Handy Manny undies!!

Gavin just loves Handy Manny - and we found him some undies a few weeks ago. He's not potty trained yet but he LOVES wearing them over his diaper! He struts around like he's a big man! What a wonderful, handsome boy we have :-)

a little behind..

Haven't written in a week.. and man it's been busy! We enjoyed some time at the playground in our neighborhood. Gavin really loves climbing up the stairs and going down the slide like a big boy! Steven and I felt like kids again too - playing on the swings, crossing the monkey bars and going down the slide head first :-) Enjoy these photos of our time at the playground!

We also enjoyed another trip to the Lancaster Barnstormer's game on Saturday. It was super hot but we managed to still have a great time. The game went into extra innings and the Barnstormers lost but it was still TONS of fun! Gavin enjoyed a ball park hot dog, nachos and some ice cream :-) He really seems to enjoy watching baseball. We were there again for over five hours and he never fussed - not once! After the game we watched the fireworks. Gavin liked watching them but we had to keep his ears covered because he wasn't a big fan of all the noise. Steven and I wish we would have gotten a 7 game package for the Barnstormers because Gavin really enjoys going. We'll have to keep that in mind for next summer! Take a look at our photos from the game.. we really had a great time!!

Fun-filled weekend!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We had a very fun weekend :-) On Saturday Gavin and I enjoyed spending time with Grammie and Poppop. Gavin also loved playing with Lucas and Shayna - he really loves playing with other kids. I had fun helping Shayna clean her room and get it nice and organized. It was neat to help her because she is living in my old room - so it was a fun walk down memory lane! She is talking about painting the walls, which makes me sad because there are still handprints on the walls from some of my friends and family - but I guess she needs to make that space her own now. She's growing up to be such a nice young lady - and she's amazing with Gavin.

I didn't get the chance to help Lucas with his room - but I will soon! He's planning a Star Wars theme for his room.. like father like son! Gavin really enjoys hanging out with Lucas too - they have a special cousin bond!

On Sunday we took Gavin to his first baseball game.. the Lancaster Barnstormers were playing the Long Island Ducks. The game was delayed for over an hour due to rain. They finally started playing around 7:30 p.m. and we stayed until 9:30 p.m. Gavin was GREAT! We were there for over 4 hours and he didn't fuss or cry at all!!!! He really enjoyed watching their mascot Cylo and dancing to all the fun music. Hopefully he will be a big baseball fan - just like his mommy and daddy!

Enjoy these photos of our fun filled weekend!

4th of July fun!

What a nice 3 day weekend! It was great getting to spend some extra time with Gavin and Steven this weekend. We enjoyed a picnic at Grammie and Poppop's on Friday with lots of fun and good food! Gavin ate two hot dogs, pasta salad and a ton of fruit - that's my boy :-) We bought Gavin a toddler bed on Sunday! We've started trying for baby #2 and we'd like to have his crib for the new baby so we don't have to spend a ton of $$ on a new one. It should be an interesting, scary, messy yet fun transition from the crib to a big boy bed! I'm not exactly sure when we'll start the transition but I will definitely keep everyone updated!

Enjoy these pictures from the extra long weekend :-)
