hold your horses!

Before I get into the photo updates I need to share how stinkin' funny my son is.. Last night Steven was baking a cake (yummy!) and Gavin was being very impatient because he wanted a piece. Steven tells him to "hold your horses" so Gavin runs out to his toy box, grabs his stuffed animal horse, takes it into the kitchen and asks Steven, "this one daddy?!" Oh my goodness we were cracking up!!! It was one of those moments you wish you captured on videa - just too funny!!

Gavin has been doing pretty well with the potty - I don't want to jinx it - but it really is looking good!! The whole time we were away Gavin stayed dry and went on the potty. Since Sunday he has been staying dry about 95% of the time. We even had him in big boy undies for a little while on Sunday!! My hope is that in the next month or so we will be totally diaper free. My concern now is conquering the pooping on the potty.. oh joy!

Last weekend we went to Aunt Donna and Uncle Wayne's house to celebrate Aunt Donna's birthday. Uncle DD and Aunt Donna gave Gav a bin full of matchbox cars and he is in heaven!!!

On Friday and Saturday my mom and I took Gavin, Shayna and Lucas to Knoebels and it was lots of fun!! I was sort of grumpy at times because it was very hot and very crowded but I think everyone had a good time! Gav loved the rides and LOVED hanging out with Shayna, Lucas and Grammie. Shayna and Lucas are just growing up so fast.. and they are both SO good with Gavin!! I hope we can go back another time when I'm not pregnant so I can ride all the fun rides! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the trip!

On Sunday Steven, Gavin, David and I went bowling then had a yummy dinner. Gavin enjoys hanging out with his Uncle DD. Bowling was great because the bowling alley was celebrating an anniversary and everything was $0.50 - shoes, games, even a hot dog and was only 50 cents - oh yea!! So we all bowled a game, rented our shoes and had a hot dog and a soda and it only cost us $6.00 - oh yea!! We let Gavin use the bumpers, of course, and he had a lot of fun rolling the ball down the lane. I really like this bowling alley because the bumpers remove themselves automatically for anyone that doesn't want to use them - so Gav could use them but the adults didn't have to use them - although David should have used them since a 3 year old almost beat him!!! (it's okay Uncle DD!!)

bowling, breakfast, cheese steaks and boo-boos!

I am a little behind with photos so here goes:

A couple of weeks ago Gavin, Steven and myself went bowling with Gavin's Uncle Mike and Aunt Manda. Gavin had tons of fun and now every time we drive past the bowling alley he wants to stop and go bowling, so cute!!

The next day we all decided it would be fun to head to Shady Maple for their buffet breakfast. It was a very last minute plan but we were pleased when everyone was able to make it. Our table included Gavin, Steven, Steven's brothers Mike and Chris, Mike's girlfriend Amanda, Chris' wife Christy, our cousin David and myself. It was great hanging out with everyone and Gavin loved seeing his uncles and aunts!! (it's a nice bonus that their chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk are AWESOME!!!)

The same day we went to Shady Maple for breakfast we decided to take a drive to Pat's in Philly for cheese steaks!! We taken this random trips a couple of times before and it's always a great time! David and Aunt Donna came along with us this time. We had to wait in line for about 45 minutes but boy those sandwiches were worth the wait!! "steak wit wiz please!" If you've never been to Pat's you NEED to go, it's a really neat experience and the sandwiches are so yummy!!

Gavin is 100% boy - he loves to be rough - he loves trains, trucks, cars, and motorcycles - he LOVES any sport and he's really been into music lately. He's growing up so fast and it's amazing to watch him development new skills, new words, new likes and dislikes.. hard to believe he will be 3 years old in less than 2 months..

OUCH!! Gavin bumped his head on his bed the other day and man it left a yucky mark! He was somewhat proud of his boo-boo and was very eager to show it to me when I got home from work. My poor little fella!!
