What a weekend!

WOW - what a weekend! Gavin really enjoyed being able to spend time outside playing. We spent part of Memorial Day relaxing at Grammie & Poppop's house. Gavin loved playing with everyone in the backyard. Shayna's wagon was a big hit and he really liked his new ball from Grammie!

The rest of Memorial Day was spent and Uncle Wayne & Aunt Donna's house. Gavin LOVED the pool. He did not want to be in his raft - he insisted that Mommy hold him in the water so he could kick and float around. He of course had a fit when it was time to get out of the pool. Gavin also enjoyed kicking his new soccer ball around and trying to play volleyball with all the "big kids." Enjoy the photos from the weekend - I know I had fun taking them!

Be Cool Eat at Rita's

Gavin enjoyed his first very own Rita's water ice last night. Steven had to laugh at me because I bought him sugar-free cherry - only because it was almost 7 p.m. and we didn't need a sugar filled toddler right before bed! He ate the entire child size water ice and actually some of mine. Happy Birthday Poppop!

We had a "surprise" birthday party for my dad on Saturday. It was at our house so Gavin and I spent a good bit of Saturday cleaning and pulling weeds - he's quite the gardener! He enjoyed it so much that yesterday I bought him his own tool set and watering can - I'm sure I'll have pictures soon! I really had a blast at the party - it was so fun to hang out with my family, relax, goof off and pick on each other. I really do have an amazing family, and though we don't spend as much time together as we'd like, I know that I can always count on them. And I hope they know that they can always count on me.

Steven's tattoo

Steven got his first tattoo last night, and I think it's amazing! It took just about 2 hours to do and Steven was a trooper through the whole thing. The tattoo artist, who's name is also Steve, asked him to come back in 3 to 4 weeks when it's completely healed so he can get a picture of it. Take a look!

Broken website

For some reason I cannot get any photos to load on Gavin's website - so I've decided to use this blog to share updates and photos until I can figure out what's going on with the other site.

He is truly a wonderful child and 100% boy! Gavin loves to play with his cars and tractor and he is still absolutely crazy about his Fisher Price lawn mower. Thankfully, he also loves to read. If there is a book laying on the table he is flipping through it and pointing to each and every thing - it's just so cute! Gavin also loves to give hugs and kisses. His vocabulary is building daily and it's so neat to hear him repeat words we say to him. So now of course we are really trying to watch what we say around him!!

What a wonderful blessing it is to parent this beautiful boy - he is just amazing!! Enjoy the latest photos.

He kicked a ball!!

I know it may be silly to some people but I think it's just wonderful - Gavin kicked a ball for the first time on Saturday! He has steadily improved over the past few days. There are some times when he misses the ball and ends up falling down but he always gets right back up with a smile on his face!

It is just incredible to watch him grow - he continues to amaze me each day with all he learns. Being a mother is just the greatest gift and I fall more in love with my son each day.

Steven is getting his first tattoo Thursday. He's getting a portrait of Gavin on his shoulder blade. I will definitely post some pictures.
